SAAPS 2025 – Accommodation Details

The 2025 SAAPS Congress will take place at the Mpekweni Beach Resort located 90km outside of East London. Accommodation bookings for the 2025 SAAPS Congress will be exclusively handled through the organisers of the congress. Therefore no direct booking through Mpekweni Beach Resort will be available.

Accommodation bookings can be made through the Registration Portal from the 10th November 2024.

Accommodation Rates Include: Dinner, Bed & Breakfast
Single = R5250.00 Per Person (Thursday, Friday, Saturday = 3 Nights Accommodation)
Sharing = R4500.00 Per Person (Thursday, Friday, Saturday = 3 Nights Accommodation)

Additional Accommodation Rates for Adults:
R 1750.00 per single person, per night inclusive of dinner bed and breakfast
R 1500.00 per person sharing, per night inclusive of dinner bed and breakfast.

Accommodation Rates for Children:

  • Children aged 1 – 11 years sharing a room with 2 adults will be charged at R 580.00 per child per night (Inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast)
  • Children aged 12 – 17 years sharing a room with 2 adults will be charged at R 850.00 per child per night (Inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast)
  • Children aged 18 years and older are charged full adult rates.
  • Children occupying their own room will be charged full adult rates.

Activities & Facilities at Mpekweni Beach Resort

Mpekweni Beach Resort has a Gym on site which is equipped with most equipment needed and also features a music system and water station. The Resort also boasts a Wellness Spa featuring a Sauna for guests to enjoy. Booking for the Spa

  • Golf – There are spectacular, and reasonably priced, golf courses in the area; from the Royal Port Alfred (20 minutes away) and the golf course at Bushman Sands

  • Canoeing – Take a leisurely paddle up the tranquil Mpekweni lagoon.
  • Fishing – The fishing is nothing short of spectacular; both for the experienced angler and the novice. NB! Bring your own fishing Equipment
  • Mountain Biking – Take a ride on some awesome trails and explore the indigenous fauna and flora. (One should bring their own mountain bikes)
