2027 Grandads Army Memorial Ride – 9 Day Full Experience

Dates: 7–15 March 2027
Location: East London to Cape Town

Secure your place in the next chapter of the Grandads Army legacy.

The 9-Day Cycle Challenge follows the official Grandads Army Memorial Fundraising Ride route from East London to Cape Town and includes accommodation, meals, refreshments, and support along the route.

Funds raised will be used to provide financial support to the Paediatric Surgical Departments at the Frere and Cecilia Makiwane Hospitals

Cape Town Accommodation Options 

For the 4 days in Cape Town, participants may choose either:

• Dormitory Accommodation
• Shared Double Room Accommodation (subject to availability)

Accommodation options available depend on the payment option selected during registration.

Payment Options

Standard Deposit – R1,500 (Excludes Cycle Tour Entry, Non-refundable)
Secures your place on the ride with dormitory accommodation in Cape Town. If you cancel, the deposit will be treated as a donation to the Eyabantwana For The Children Trust.

Premium Deposit – R5,000 (Excludes Cycle Tour Entry, Non-refundable)
Secures your place on the ride and allows you to select either dormitory accommodation or shared double-room accommodation during the final 4 days in Cape Town. The deposit will be credited towards your final entry fee. If you cancel, the deposit will be treated as a donation to the Eyabantwana For The Children Trust.

Full Payment – R9,500 (Excludes Cycle Tour Entry, Non-Refundable)
Secures your place on the ride and allows you to select either dormitory accommodation or shared double-room accommodation during the final 4 days in Cape Town.

Cape Town Cycle Tour – R1,300 (Non-refundable)
Please also confirm if you require entry into the Cape Town Cycle Tour.

The Eyabantwana For The Children Trust is a registered NPO and can issue Section 18A Tax Certificates.
