Registrar’s are specifically invited to submit Abstracts for presentation at the 2025 SAAPS Congress, taking place on the 1st – 4th May 2025. Partial funding support will be provided to Registrars who present.
Abstracts submission criteria for the 2025 SAAPS Conference

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 4 March 2025

Registrars are specifically invited to submit their abstracts.

The scientific committee will review all appropriate abstracts.

All submissions received will be acknowledged, and authors will be sent acceptance or rejection letters by 5 April 2025

The presenting authors of accepted submissions must be registered delegates.

Registration costs are at the presenter’s own expense.

If data has previously been presented at a (national) or international meeting, the submission should be accompanied by a letter to justify submission to the SAAPS2025 conference.

Presenters are responsible for obtaining ethical approval from the appropriate hospital or university authorities and hiding their patients’ identities.
Instructions to Authors:
• Abstract Title (Ensure the title does not exceed twenty-five words).
• Provide the surnames and initials of all authors, with the surname of the presenting author underlined.
• Affiliation of author(s)
· Do not include qualifications.
· Ensure your abstract does not exceed 250 words.
Please adhere to the following format:
• Introduction: The introduction should be brief and informative
• The aim and objective: describe what the research aims to achieve.
• Methods: include a description of subjects and research methodology.
• Results: outline the study’s findings supported by statistics as appropriate

Please do NOT use figures, graphs, or tables in the abstract.

The data provided must be sufficient to permit peer review of the abstract.
• Conclusion: provide a summary and relevance of the main findings.
· Abstracts that do not adhere to the specific format will not be accepted.
· All accepted abstracts will be published without further editing.
· Abstracts not selected for oral presentation MAY be considered for poster presentations.
